Name: Youth Ministry

Chairperson: Val Richardson

Purpose: To teach and guide our youth to become Christian disciples. Love youth where they are by:

• Offering opportunities for informal youth fellowship & youth lead meetings each 2nd Sunday.

Encourage youth in developing their relationship to God by:

 • Participating in Youth Church School weekly • Participating in Youth lead worship services each 2nd Sunday

• Participating in worship services through the Hand bell choir, Usher board, Acolytes, children’s church, vacation bible school, & Music Department events
• Participating in special services such as Hanging of the Greens, Christmas Concert, Black History month, Easter Services, Mother’s Day services, Children’s ministry, etc.

Provide opportunities to nurture and grow in their faith through:

• BMCR leadership conferences - Harambee • SC Conference leadership - Youth Annual Conference
• Regional leadership conferences

Challenge youth to respond to God’s call to service through:

• Youth outreach projects such as Salkehatchie Summer Service, Youth Service Fund, Souper Bowl of Caring, Adopt-a-Family, Harvest Hope Food Bank, etc.
