Purpose of this Ministry: The Volunteer Ministry

  1. Provides an opportunity for ALL members of the congregation both old and young, not only to serve the members of Francis Burns United Methodist Church, but also to provide outreach and missions to the community at large.
  2. To provide an opportunity for members of the church (both old and young) to minister to the congregation by providing a means of tithing in the area of volunteering their time and talents to both our congregation (young and older members) and to be involved in the outreach and missions of Francis Burns United Methodist Church.
  3. Ultimately, the goal of the Volunteer Ministry is “to make disciples of God’s children”.

Description: The mission of the Volunteer Ministry is:

  • To provide an opportunity for members of the church (both old and young) to minister to the congregation by providing a means of tithing in the area of volunteering their time and talents to both our congregation (young and older members) and to be involved in the outreach and missions of Francis Burns United Methodist Church.
  • To provide a significant expression of citizenship in God’s kingdom and identification with those He has come to save (I John 3:18-19); and
  •  To make disciples of God’s children.
